NVR Work
This can take the format of 1-1 to work or be undertaken as part of a larger parent or carer group. The individual NVR work will cover the basic principles of NVR therapy, the strategies that you can employ with your family, and specifically your target child or children. Additionally, it will offer a much more in-depth opportunity to look at the child’s escalatory behaviour and ways to begin changing this.
The groups will focus on the same principles alongside up to 9 other parents. We would embark on the NVR journey together, discussing everyone’s situations and work together to produce ways to impact the children’s behaviour under the NVR framework. All sessions are weekly or bi-weekly

Workshops
NVR has been proven to work with teenagers of all backgrounds, across any demographic, especially in situations like the ones parents currently find themselves in. That is why from our practice we've developed a suite of online workshops from discussions with parents about what they struggle with most, especially those things that have been exacerbated by COVID-19. These include:
Parenting in the Digital World: the digital world is a vast space, and often we can lose our grasp on what children are doing online. This workshop will help parents and carers fully grasp the pros and cons of the digital world, and what they can do to help protect their children online. It covers all of the major social apps, particular areas of vulnerability, and how NVR techniques can transform family technology usage in a profoundly positive way.
Vigilant Care: this workshop will focus on the vigilant care NVR protocol. This will look at the traffic light system for dealing with consistently escalating behaviours like mental health crises, drug use, dangerous or reckless behaviours (including breaking COVID-19 restrictions) and absconding. The workshop will focus on how to raise your parental presence, activating a support network, and what practical safeguarding tools you can use to tackle these difficult behaviours.
Self-Compassion and Parenting: we will focus on the core point that parents and carers ‘cannot pour from an empty jug’. Increasingly parents and carers find themselves burnout and unable to turn up in the way they want to, this workshop aims to empower them to find self-compassion in the face of these feelings and practical tools to help them become more present, and ultimately more self-compassionate. More than ever these feelings are present in our day-to-day, and we will offer a roadmap to better emotional health.
